Despite the hopes of ruling party officials to pass comprehensive civil code reform before the end of congress' current session, chief of cabinet Jorge Capitanich announced today the postponement of the code's approval until 2014. The postponement comes amidst changes in the code's text which incited controversy when revealed this week.
