As published this morning in the Boletín Oficial of the president’s office, Argentina’s controversial tax amnesty law is now in place, after winning congressional approval last week. President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Cabinet Advisor Juan Manuel Abal Medina, and Economic Minister Hernán Lorenzino signed the measure into law this morning. The amnesty law permits investment of undeclared dollars in the country’s real estate and energy sectors, free of penalties.
